Customer story

"I can simply go there and type my question."

Six hours of feedback analysis, done in 45 minutes.

Reading a round of Net Promoter Score (NPS) feedback and writing up what it means used to take this company's IT team the better part of a working day. The last round took a colleague around six hours.

The same job, run through Ask, our conversational AI feature: first draft in 15 minutes, finished in 45.

"Ask is a huge time-saver."

The results in this story are from our long-time customer, a global industrial company. After a trial period with the Ask feature, they decided to add it to their HappySignals license.

Why not just use the AI tools they already have?

They do have them. But getting an internal AI tool to say something useful about experience data takes a chain of steps: export the data out of HappySignals, feed it into the tool, set up API access to the service management platform, and write a good enough prompt.

Every step needs someone technical, so the question often goes unasked (or unanswered, for that matter).

Ask sits inside HappySignals, on top of the experience data the company already collects. No export, no API, no prompt to get right.

"I can simply go there and type my question."

What they've asked so far

Which employee groups are having a different experience?

Comparing groups used to mean pulling the data out and building the comparison by hand. Now it's a question you type.

Ask them, and you'll see which groups are stuck.

Why did our score suddenly drop?

They were already watching for this before Ask. A happiness score that moves is what experience data is for, and the team saw the drops as they happened.

"The happiness score immediately shows us if something shifts."

What Ask changed is the next step. Working out why a score moved used to depend on how well you could read the data yourself. Now the analysis comes back quickly, with clear indicators of what might be behind the drop and what could be done about it.

The score tells you something changed. Ask tells you where to look.

Some of what turned up had been sitting in the company's existing survey data all along. It just wasn't obvious from the dashboards, and nobody acted on the information.

Part of the weekly rhythm

The customer reports that they review the previous week's data at the beginning of each week, and then go through it together with the team the following day. A six-hour analysis doesn't fit a rhythm like that. A 45-minute one does.

"Now we follow experience data more than the stock market!"

Organization

A global industrial company whose IT team already measures employee experience with HappySignals, including Net Promoter Score across the business. That existing survey data is what Ask works on, which is why the team could start asking questions straight away rather than waiting for anything new to be collected.
